DAlex - Goodnight, Goodbye

This new feeling that I have...I don't understand it yet. It's something I felt around Dana, too. I had the need to keep Dana out of harm's way, and I failed to do that. I hate that I couldn't get to her in time. I won't make that mistake again.
But there is a nuclear bomb ready to level Manhattan, and I am the only one capable of stopping it. I have to abandon both of you in order to protect you.
I'm sorry, Diane, for giving you something that I will not be able to carry out. I've seen your face, how you look at me, but I must leave this. If I survive this, I'll come back. I just know that I need to stop Randall, I need to keep everyone safe, I need to bring Dana back.
